Minutes away from the lively town centre of Fowey, La Folie is a loving restored Victorian townhouse in the heart of stunning Cornwall. We were approached to refresh the branding of this popular holiday destination and develop a digital presence as breath-taking as their accommodation.
In this instance, we wanted the website design and location photography to be the star of the show, so we set about creating a refreshed brand that is classic and timeless. We chose an elegant typeface that embodies the heritage of the building and the location, and reflects the premium, contemporary finish of the building interior.

Striking images of the dramatic landscapes that surround La Folie and the luxurious features of the townhouse itself are key to driving conversions and encouraging visitors to book a stay. With hundreds of holiday cottages and vacation rentals in Cornwall and the South Coast, it is essential that La Folie’s website inspires and persuades visitors in a way that a basic listing on a third-party booking site just cannot.
Our website design draws on the natural colours of the coastal surroundings and sea views to create a fresh, dreamy aesthetic. Earthy beige, vibrant aqua, and a regal teal invite the reader in and create a real sense of the seaside experience.
Flexible WordPress website design, Manchester
Built in WordPress, this beautiful brochure website has all the building blocks La Folie needs to support its business growth. The owners are empowered by the user-centric content management system which enables them to upload their own images, reviews, and accommodation information. At present, they are happy for visitors to simply get in touch with them to book a stay, however, the fundamental flexibility of WordPress means that an automated booking system could easily be integrated in the future – without requiring a new website design and build.
